ATD MD Healthcare and Public Health Talent Development Community of Practice meeting with guest facilitator Jocelyn Parks

Topic: Trends in Instructional Systems Design – Let’s Talk!

Date and Time: March 18th, 2023 - 9:30-10:30 am

Description:

Join us for a group conversation focused on the latest trends in Instructional Systems Design. This session, facilitated by Jocelyn Parks, is meant to be an informal chat on what you noticed in 2022 and what you think may happen in 2023 with talent development in healthcare. Some newer trends we might discuss include artificial intelligence (AI), using nostalgia to drive learning, or how we help Gen Z learn. We can also look at the current state of our roles in the talent development world. What has changed? What are we doing differently today that we weren’t doing a couple of years ago, or even last year?

These are just suggestions to think about before we meet. If there are other trends that interest you, bring them too and come prepared to listen to, talk with, and learn from each other.

Biography

Jocelyn Parks, a Lead Instructional Designer for HighPoint Digital’s training department has been a talent development professional for 30 years. She is currently working with a team on a healthcare contract to design and develop learning experiences for customer service representatives. Her expertise includes instructional design, live on-line design and delivery, self-directed learning design, eLearning design, and facilitation.

Prior to joining HighPoint Digital, Jocelyn served as an Instructional Designer and Sr. Organizational Effectiveness consultant for MedStar Health, an e-Learning specialist and Instructional Designer for a TRICARE contractor and as an Instructional Designer for a nuclear waste reclamation company. She earned her master’s degree in Instructional Technology from Towson University, Maryland.
