Professional Development

ATD Maryland provides a variety of professional development opportunities for both members and non-members. Our chapter programs are a great way to network with other talent development professionals and gain knowledge. 

We also offer workshops throughout the year that focus on different areas of Talent Development. Visit our Events page on a regular basis to stay up to date with new programs or workshops. If you are a non-member, we encourage you to sign up for our mailing list to receive our monthly electronic newsletter which lists our upcoming programs & workshops.

Volunteer

Get the most from your membership, and develop new skills or using existing skills to make an impact on your fellow learning professionals.  We have many volunteer opportunities within our chapter...some only take an hour or two each month and can be done from your own home!

As a volunteer you will:

  • Partner with professional peers
  • Build enriching, rewarding relationships
  • Develop your leadership skills

Be a Speaker at an ATD 

Maryland Event!  

You've gained valued experience and skills during your career. Speaking at a chapter event is a wonderful way to help your colleagues and promote best practices.  

Workforce learning professionals need a variety of skills to deliver professional products and services for their employers and customers. Ideally your topic may relate to one of these areas of expertise.

How does ATD Maryland support the ATD Certification program? 

ATD Maryland has several ATD Learning Systems available for use by their members for a nominal rental fee.  Also, once you have become certified, you can earn recertification credits by attending chapter programs/events, serving as a chapter leader or leading a study group.
