Conversation Topic – Leader as Coach

Coaching has become an essential competency for leaders at all organizations. It is one of the most important priorities for leaders to be catalysts for the high performance and career acceleration of their team members. Being a good coach is not a unique domain for a selected group of professionals. Anyone can become a great coach.

During this work and learn session, members will become familiar with The Three C Coaching Model. You will also experiment with new behaviors, test your approach to leadership, highlight your natural talents and challenge your assumptions about coaching.

Conversation Facilitator – Cathy Hampton, CPLP®, Senior Instructional Designer and Performance Improvement Consultant

Cathy is an assumed adult who cannot seem to hold a job. She began her career as a high school Biology teacher in Indiana. Figuring she had already seen combat, she joined the Army and began a new and exciting life: training soldiers on offensive and defensive survival tactics against chemical, biological and radiological weapons. After retirement, Cathy discovered her true passion in instructional design. Working as an instructional designer and trainer for a government contractor for 24 years, she is currently transitioning from full-time work to performance improvement consultant.
