Professional Development Community of Practice Event

Facilitators: Rob Richter and Diane Phelps

Topic: Best Practices for Learning Management Systems

Finding an LMS (Learning Management System) for your organization's needs or using your existing LMS can be frustrating. In this Maryland ATD Community of Practice session, we'll harness our collective experience and knowledge to make LMS systems work better for our organizations. We'll consider how to scope a new LMS based on the needs of your actual end users. We'll think about how to navigate the 700+ LMS options based on what's worked for us. We'll also reflect on questions: what problems can an LMS solve for your organization? When are you better off finding a different solution? What are some common mistakes new users and administrators make? Whether you are an LMS expert or a complete novice, we welcome your problems, expertise, stories, and questions.
