In today’s workplace, coaching is increasingly being used as a tool to develop leaders and and build team effectiveness. Unfortuantely, coaching is often confused with mentoring, showing, training, consulting, telling, or directing.  Unlike those, coaching is grounded in collaboration and partnership.  It’s power lies in the coach’s ability to establish trust and partnership with the coachee that fosters dialogue, generates new perspectives, and engenders courage to take action.  Done effectively, coaching can empower individuals, help resolve conflict, and start to break the behavioral patterns that are hampering team success.

In this interactive session, you will learn how to:

• Understand the difference between coaching, mentoring and consulting.
• Leverage your emotional intelligence to establish coaching presence.
• Use active listening to better recognize behavioral clues.
• Use powerful questions to generate new awareness and perspectives.
• Use the art of feedback as both a coaching tool and as a way to help your coachee communicate more effectively in the workplace.
